There have been two new cases of Covid-19 recorded on Barra.

Both individuals have been hospitalised with one of the patients requiring to be transferred to a mainland hospital.

Another case confirmed just after Christmas has also last night had to be transferred to a mainland hospital.

NHS Western Isles reminds everyone to use FACTS and to avoid all unnecessary contact.

Meanwhile the vaccine continues to be rolled out across the islands as the health board work through the priority lists of those who are in most urgent need.
